Tell your attorney the whole truth and protect your bankruptcy filing

We at the Rosenberg Law Group, PLLC always tell our bankruptcy clients to tell the whole truth. We explain that, to a certain extent, the bankruptcy court operates on an honor system. However, we also inform our clients that they must tell the whole truth regarding their assets, liabilities, and income lest their bankruptcy is discharged for dishonesty. Despite those warnings, several clients have omitted important information regarding their income and assets. When caught, attorneys at the Rosenberg Law Group, PLLC have managed to avoid having their cases dismissed, but it was very embarrassing to the clients. The interim trustee and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court do not have a sense of humor about such matters. It is always best to tell your attorney the truth and let them assist you in making good decisions. Lying is a bad strategy and also a crime.
