Don’t massage your girlfriend

From the chronicles of “almost too weird to be true”:The Department of Health (DOH) recently charged a man with acting as an unlicensed massage therapist for giving a massage to a woman with whom he was romantically involved. The man used to be a licensed massage therapist, but left that career five years ago for another one. He was romantically, but discretely, involved with a woman. They went to dinner and then home to his apartment. He gave her a massage – he was good at that, after all – and then they had sex. No money exchanged hands. In the post-coupling glow, the woman asked the man if they could make their relationship public. The man declined. Spurned, the woman turned the man into the DOH for providing an unlicensed massage.A silly story? Well, it gets truly dumber. The DOH decided that they would charge the man for holding himself out as an unlicensed masseuse. While no money exchanged hands, they had a witness who stated that he told her he was a licensed masseuse. That was enough for the DOH. Really? Is society really that badly in need of protection from the pre-coupling massage? Protect yourself from the absurd by retaining the Rosenberg Law Group, PLLC before you become the subject of some bizarre story involving an investigators starved imagination.
