Does DFI Stand for “Double Dealing”?

I have dealt with the Department of Financial Institutions for many years. I have probably worked out settlements with all of the Financial Legal Examiners at the Department. As with any organization, some are easier to deal with than others. But what we should never see at a government regulatory agency is “bait and switch.” On occasion, I have experienced the DFI make an offer, albeit conditionally, only to retract it once accepted and ask for more. It comes across as being dishonest. That is not the sort of impression we expect out of our government. They should be above reproach.
